Interfaith service for state's 125th anniversary

The Greek Orthodox cathedral is sponsoring an interfaith prayer service to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Colorado statehood. Archbishop Charles Chaput, O.F.M. Cap., will represent the Catholic Church.

Metropolitan Isaiah of the Denver Greek Orthodox Diocese and Rev. Father Costas Pavlakos, dean of the Orthodox cathedral, invite all to attend the event scheduled 10 a.m. Aug. 1 at Assumption Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 4610 E. Alameda Ave., Denver. A reception complete with birthday cake and ice cream will follow. Honored guest is Gov. Bill Owens.
