Celebrations planned to welcome new bishop
Bishop-elect José Gomez will be officially welcomed to northern Colorado during celebrations taking place March 25-26.
Everyone is invited to a 3 p.m., March 25, Solemn Prayer Service in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Overflow seating will be available in a closed-circuit setting adjacent to the cathedral. A reception with Bishop-elect Gomez will follow.
The ordination Mass for Bishop-elect Gomez will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday, March 26, at the Cathedral. Tickets required for indoor seating at the ordination have all been distributed and cannot be requested, according to the archbishop's office. However, overflow seating will be available in a closed-circuit setting adjacent to the Cathedral. A reception with the new bishop will follow.
