Cantors workshop offered Jan. 20
On Jan. 20, 2001, the Notre Dame Parish, along with Source and Summit Ministries, will be hosting a continuing education workshop for cantors and those involved in parish music programs. The event is a follow-up to the highly successful workshop held last August.
The day, which begins at 9 a.m., will include two sessions. The morning session will be in the format of a voice class and will consist of voice training techniques, gesture and animation. There are four separate teaching teams prepared for the morning tract. The afternoon session beginning at 1 p.m. will be conducted by Angeline Hubert of the Catholic Biblical School and will focus on the Psalms.
To register for the workshop contact Lillian Deidel at 303-922-9875. The cost of the workshop is $30 for the morning session and $10 for the afternoon session. Participants may register for morning only, afternoon only or for both sessions. Scholarship money is available.
The planning team for the workshop consists of Lillian Deidel, Notre Dame Parish; Chris Nyholm, St. Mark's Parish, Westminster; Julie Plouffe, Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Wheatridge; and Dan Wyatt, St. Frances Cabrini Parish, Littleton.
