Catholic Charities Family Services director named
Margaret Booker of Aurora has been named director of family services for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver. She holds a master's degree in counseling and psychology and a bachelor's in sociology. She was the assistant director of Adoption Options in Denver before coming to Catholic Charities as coordinator of children and family services in 1997.
A new web site on adoption and pregnancy counseling has been jointly created by the Catholic Charities' organizations of the Archdiocese of Denver and the Dioceses of Colorado Springs and Pueblo. The site address is www.adoptioncolorado.org.
According to Booker, the site contains "a wealth of information for both birth mothers and families interested in adoption.
"The web site means that no matter where you live in Colorado, you can easily connect with a Catholic Charities' organization for pregnancy counseling or adoptive services," she said.
The web site contains two sections, one for birth mothers and birth families, and one for families interested in adoption.
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver also has a web site of its own with information about its services. That address is www.catholiccharitiesdenvr.org.
Catholic Charities family services department provides family counseling and support, pregnancy counseling, adoption and foster care placement and services for seniors, children and youth.
Established in 1927, Catholic Charities is one of the largest human service organizations in Colorado, serving more than 200,000 needy men, women and children each year.
