Steubenville of the Rockies
July 17-19, 2009

Share the Glory provides participants with the opportunity to help those who are less fortunate in our local community. We will be collecting items to be donated to a local charity in Denver. The items will go to individuals & families who are unable to afford these items.

This year we will be providing assistance to Catholic Schools in Urban Neighborhoods (SUN Schools). In January 1987, six inner-city Catholic elementary schools joined efforts to ensure quality education for economically disadvantaged children. These schools included Annnunciation, Guardian Angels, Loyola, Presentation of Our Lady, St. Francis de Sales, and St. Rose of Lima. Known as the S.U.N. Schools, they serve predominantly single parent households in areas profoundly impacted by poverty and violence. More than ninety percent of the students in these schools have a minority background.

In your final registration packet, your group will be assigned a specific school supply item to bring to the conference. Please ask each participant in your group to take part of this exciting outreach project. This is an excellent opportunity for the youth and all of us to make a very tangible difference in the lives of others.
